Satay Review

I came here yesterday to order food to go for an early Mother's Day dinner for 9 people. This place has a lot of dishes. We ordered a bunch of things - roti canais,  satays (chicken & beef), beef chow fun, salt & pepper squid, beef rendangs, hainanese half chickens, large orders of hainanese rice, hot & spicy clams, and mee goreng) all for $107. Best Malaysian food I've had as of today! Second note, best satays I've ever had. The meat pieces were quite small compared to the street stands but the favor is way better.  I never ordered satays because I'm afraid the meat would be dry and tasteless - Satay proved me wrong! The sweet/spicy peanut dipping sauce was remarkable so be sure to use it on everything. I want to go back to try the noodle soups...like now.

I like this place a lot.  It's in flushing but away from the congestion of the heart of flushing, which is a nightmare.  Love that they give generous portions.  Sure, prices went up, but who didn't! Portions stayed the same. taste really good and generous portions bring customers back. This is the only place I know that uses blood cockles in the char kuey teow...just like how it's eaten in Kuala Lumpur. Hawker dishes are tastey and it's fairly good price.
