Cafe Asean Review

Cafe Asean is a new favorite lunch place. Their prices are really reasonable for the quantity you get, and the ambiance is very quaint and earthy. The food doesn't come out instantly, so make sure you have a good hour lunch break. Otherwise, though, the food is definitely worth the wait. There are some traditional dishes as well as some less common sounding ones -- my awesome dish had lotus root. I can't wait to go back and try more dishes!

I come to this place twice a month and never disappointed by the food. The specials are made with ingredients bought locally, the food is cooked just right and really I am all about the sauces. Love me a good sauce. Oh one of my faves is clay pot rice $13.25: Malaysians style paella with chicken. mushrooms, sweet sausage and salted cod. Love it!

I will be honest the services needs a little polishing, it just seems a little difficult to figure out who your server is but the food is always served promptly. They also have a beautiful and romantic enclosed back garden with a retracting, pitched glass roof with a big old tree growing through it.
